Group IVE has raised anticipation for their comeback by pre-releasing the challenge for the title track ‘Looks Can Kill’ from their new album.
On the 12th, IVE surprised fans by opening the preview audio and challenge video for ‘Looks Can Kill,’ which is set to drop on the 19th, through their official social media channels including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
The released video features Ahn Yujin, Gaeul, and Jang Wonyoung against the backdrop of the previously unveiled ‘Hero Academy.’ The three members drew attention by delivering powerful choreography featuring gesture shooting with hands and long-reaching arms, completing IVE’s unique hero performance. In particular, the witty and intense lyrics such as ‘Dance like I kill them with the rhythm’ and ‘Looks can kill, we’re so lethal’ set to an upbeat rhythm instantly capture the ears.
‘Looks Can Kill’ is a track that captures IVE’s confident and energetic mood, combining heavy bass with drums and electronic sounds. Member Rei participated in the lyrics alongside Seo Ji-eum and Lil Cherry, melting the team’s unique independent attitude into a highly addictive melody.
Previously, IVE has continuously expanded their unique narrative by sequentially releasing ‘HERO TRAINING CENTER : HERO COMICS’ videos and concept photos. Following the news of the members’ active participation in songwriting, the pre-release of parts of the music and performance further heightens anticipation for this new release.
Meanwhile, IVE will pre-release the title track ‘Looks Can Kill’ on the 19th to kick off full-scale promotions, followed by the official release of the mini-album of the same name on the 26th.
