Singer Jeong Ye-won is coloring the narrative of first love.
At 6 p.m. today, the fifth OST of the Disney+ and Channel A drama ‘Dive to You’ (scripted by Kim Bo-geum, directed by So Jae-hyun, creator Lee On, produced by Dexter Pictures & Amuse Entertainment), featuring vocals by Jeong Ye-won, will be released across various online music sites.
‘If This Is Love’ is a song that captures the gradually growing feelings of someone who is careful not to reveal their inner thoughts in front of the person they like. It encapsulates the emotions present at the beginning and end of love, from the fluttering excitement of being by their side to the poignant lingering attachment left behind even after they depart.
The song opens with a tranquil piano melody, which is then joined by concise drums and strings to calmly build up the emotion. Lyrics, composition, and arrangement were jointly handled by Kim Dae-won (Lohi) and Hana, while string performances by Yung String deepen the lyrical mood of the track.
An industry representative raised expectations by stating, “Jeong Ye-won, who is in charge of the vocals, delivers her clear and delicate voice to candidly convey the hesitant yet deepening feelings of love.”>
