Webtoon writer and broadcaster Kian84 recently surprised Girls’ Generation member Yuri by gifting her an outfit he personally picked out on MBC’s popular variety show ‘I Live Alone’.
During the October 30 broadcast, Kian84 was shown visiting Jeju Island. He mentioned his plans to meet up with Yuri, who currently resides in Jeju, noting that they have both grown older and he no longer feels awkward around her.
A behind-the-scenes moment revealed why Kian84 stopped by a vintage shop before meeting Yuri. Previously, Kian84 had playfully teased Yuri by bluntly telling her that she doesn’t dress as well as he does.
Explaining his thoughtful yet humorous gesture, Kian84 said, ‘I couldn’t go empty-handed, and since I teased her so much about her clothes, I thought it would be nice to gift her a pretty outfit.’ He added with a laugh, ‘Considering how great her model proportions are, she tends to dress a bit disappointingly,’ which sent the studio into a burst of laughter.
Shortly after, Yuri appeared wearing the dress Kian84 had chosen for her. Seeing her pull off the uniquely ambiguous vintage fashion, Kian84 could not hold back his laughter. Upon seeing his reaction, Yuri fired back playfully, saying, ‘Why are you laughing like that in an offensive way? You’re the one who bought it for me,’ bringing smiles to viewers.
