KickFlip Drops Track Spoiler Ahead of D-1 Comeback
Group KickFlip has shared the highlight medley for their upcoming new album a day ahead of their official comeback, introducing the representative ‘youth’ tracks chosen directly by the members.
On the 5th at midnight, KickFlip released a track spoiler video for their 5th mini-album, ‘KICK OFF THE WALL Pt. 1,’ through their official channels. The video previewed several new songs, including the double title tracks ‘Incomplete’ and ‘Kick Off The Wall (Feat. iann dior),’ alongside ‘0 (Young),’ ‘Rockin’,’ ‘hate blueberry,’ ‘Drop In,’ and ‘Waste Our Youth Together.’ Notably, the members contributed to the credits of all eight tracks on this album, showcasing their significantly grown musical capabilities.
Members Highlight Youth-Themed B-Sides
Prior to the release, the members selected the tracks that best capture the essence of ‘youth’ in this album. Gaehoon, who participated in writing ‘0 (Young),’ shared, “Starting from zero where nothing is decided feels closest to my youth.” Joo-wang explained, “It’s a song filled with overwhelming excitement for the future and the hope that we can achieve anything. The feeling that ‘we are still young and have a dazzling future’ really shines through.” Dong-hyun added, “If someone asks me what youth is, I’d want to play them ‘0 (Young).’ Because it holds infinite possibilities, I hope it brings strength to many people.”
Dong-hwa and Min-je chose ‘Waste Our Youth Together.’ Dong-hwa, who contributed to the lyrics, said, “I wrote the lyrics while thinking of my younger self. Because of that, it feels closer to my heart and directly connected to my youth.” Min-je expressed his affection, stating, “‘Waste Our Youth Together’ resembles KickFlip the most right now. Youth isn’t just about achieving things perfectly, but rather enjoying the momentβsometimes playing without a plan and making mistakes. Looking back later, the time we spend together as members now will likely remain our most precious moment.” Keiju mentioned the pre-release title track ‘Incomplete,’ saying, “As a song singing about the present which is beautiful precisely because it is unfinished, it brings to mind the moments we overcame many worries and questions.”
Comeback Showcase Details
KickFlip’s new mini-album ‘KICK OFF THE WALL Pt. 1,’ which honestly portrays the challenges and worries of youth, will be officially released on the 6th at 6 PM KST, followed by a comeback stage performance on Mnet M2 at 7 PM KST on the same day.
