Korean Air has once again earned international recognition for its premium in-flight wine program, taking home six awards at the prestigious 2026 Cellars in the Sky Awards.

The airline announced that it received honors across six categories at the annual competition, which is widely regarded as one of the airline industry’s most respected wine contests.

Korean Air’s first-class dessert wine, Château Guiraud 2022, captured the gold medal in the First Class Dessert Wine category with an impressive score of 94 points. Judges praised the wine for its rich golden-amber color, deep texture, and aromatic qualities that pair exceptionally well with desserts.

The airline also earned bronze medals in two major categories. Its first-class red wine, Shafer One Point Five 2023, placed third in the First Class Red Wine category, while Champagne Palmer & Co Grands Terroirs 2015, served in Prestige (business) class, finished third in the Business Class Sparkling Wine category.

In addition, Korean Air received bronze medals in both the First Class Cellar and Business Class Cellar categories, recognizing the overall quality of its premium wine selections across multiple offerings.

Another standout performer was Krug Grande Cuvée 173rd Edition, the champagne currently served in Korean Air’s first-class cabin. The wine received a “Highly Commended” distinction from the judging panel for its exceptional quality.

The Cellars in the Sky Awards are organized by Business Traveller, a leading global travel publication founded in London in 1976. Since launching the competition in 1985, the awards have become one of the most respected benchmarks for evaluating premium wines served by airlines around the world.

The latest recognition underscores Korean Air’s continued investment in enhancing the premium travel experience and maintaining a world-class wine program for its first-class and business-class passengers.
