Rep. Laura Friedman (Democrat, 30th District) strongly criticized the Republican Party for leading the federal government shutdown during a press conference at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center on the 3rd at 11 a.m.
The event included patients who receive support through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and members of the hospitalโs medical staff.
During her remarks, Friedman said, โPresident Donald Trump and the Republican Party have hinted at cutting subsidies instead of protecting affordable healthcare benefits.โ
