Broadcaster Seventeen Jeonghan and Jang Do-yeon recently captured attention due to a funny and unexpected casual speech incident.

On the YouTube content ‘Salon Drip 2’ released on the 6th, Seventeen members Jeonghan and Joshua appeared as guests and shared delightful conversations with Jang Do-yeon.

While continuing the conversation, Jang Do-yeon suddenly picked up on Jeonghan’s tone of voice. Smiling, she asked Jeonghan, “Why are you speaking to me in banmal (informal language)?”

Although Jang Do-yeon mentioned that she personally didn’t mind at all, she added, “I’m fine with it, but the viewers might be surprised.” She was concerned that viewers might misunderstand the situation where informal speech naturally mixed in while they were talking so comfortably.

In response, Jeonghan delivered an unexpected answer that made Jang Do-yeon even more flustered. He honestly confessed, “I didn’t even know you were older than me,” turning the set into a sea of laughter.

Ultimately, Jang Do-yeon stepped in to organize things, saying, “Mixing informal and formal speech can be confusing, so let’s just speak casually to each other.” Hearing this, Jeonghan didn’t miss a beat and playfully replied, “Shall we?” while instantly switching to banmal, adding even more laughter to the show.

Despite the sudden ‘banmal controversy,’ there was no awkwardness whatsoever. Instead, Jang Do-yeon and Jeonghan naturally dropped honorifics to create an even more comfortable atmosphere, and Joshua’s presence added extra fun with their great chemistry.
