Stray Kids Leader Bang Chan Celebrates Birthday with $300,000 Donation
Stray Kids leader Bang Chan is continuing his tradition of meaningful giving to celebrate his birthday, generously donating 300 million KRW (approximately $300,000 USD) today, October 3rd. JYP Entertainment announced that Bang Chan distributed the funds equally—100 million KRW each—to HereCycle, World Vision, and OSEAN (East Asia Sea Alliance).
Continuous Philanthropy and Year-Round Giving
This latest contribution follows previous donations made in September, where he provided 100 million KRW each to the Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital and UNICEF Korea for specialized rehabilitation centers and flood relief in Nepal. With his birthday donation, Bang Chan has remarkably contributed a total of 500 million KRW this year alone, serving as a shining example of generosity.
Impact of the Charitable Contributions
The funds will directly support various crucial initiatives: HereCycle’s medical and social recovery support for hearing-impaired youth, World Vision’s dream scholarship program and customized growth support for low-income and vulnerable children, and OSEAN’s coastal purification, marine debris collection, and river cleanup projects. Bang Chan shared his thoughts, stating, “It is deeply meaningful to be able to share a small part of my heart across various fields that need a helping hand, from children’s dreams to the very environment we live in. I hope my heart reaches the places that need it most and helps everyone dream of a better tomorrow together.”
