The Kia PV7 Debuts at IAA Transportation 2026

The Kia PV7 is set to make its official global debut at the IAA Transportation 2026 exhibition in Hanover, Germany. South Korea’s automaker has chosen this major commercial vehicle hub to showcase its large electrified Purpose-Built Vehicle (PBV) with high ambitions. The press conference scheduled for September 14 will introduce the world to the new lineup, featuring three PV7 models alongside seven PV5 units in a 1,531-square-meter exhibition space.

Building on the European Success of the PV5

The strategy for the PV7 follows the remarkable performance of the smaller PV5, which captured 30.4% of the European C-segment electric van market in the first half of the year with 13,603 units sold. According to data from Dataforce, the overall European electric Light Commercial Vehicle (eLCV) market grew by 10.2% to 125,069 units during the same period. By launching the larger PV7 next year, South Korea’s leading manufacturer aims to expand its dominance into the midsize electric van segment, which saw a 9.2% growth reaching 57,804 units in H1 2026, according to OSEN reports.
