Global tactical shooter battlefield disruptor VCT Masters Seoul 2027 has been officially confirmed as the host city for the first international tournament of the 2027 season, following a sweeping roadmap and structural overhaul announced for Valorant esports.
2027 VCT Infrastructure Expansion
According to official announcements, the 2027 VCT will implement an unprecedented scale of infrastructure expansion, deploying over 50 tournaments annually across 15 cities worldwide. The previous Stage 1 and 2 structures will be completely phased out in favor of two regional ‘Cups’ systems, while ‘Open Qualifiers’ will be established in 16 total regions to serve as the foundation for global advancement and significantly broaden participation.
Independent Regional Tournaments and Schedule
In line with the new operational framework, all tournaments kicking off in 2027 will follow independent operational paths across different cities. The Kickoff sessions to start the season are assigned to Bangkok (Pacific), Sao Paulo (Americas), Berlin (EMEA), and Hangzhou (CN). The subsequent first Cups will take place in Manila, Mexico City, Warsaw, and Wuhan, while the second Cups will sequentially synchronize host cities in Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, Istanbul, and Shanghai to drive continental user traffic.
Masters and Champions Timelines
The final timelines for the Masters and Champions tournaments, where top elite teams from each region converge, have also been unveiled. The first VCT Masters following the reorganization is confirmed to take place in Seoul from February 20 to March 3, 2027. This marks approximately three years since an international Valorant tournament was last held in South Korea, following Champions Seoul in 2024.
Following the Seoul Masters, the second Masters match scheduled for June is planned to continue its main stage-run in Valencia, Spain. Additionally, the final Champions tournament, serving as the highest-authority battlefield and concluding the VCT year, has locked in its location data for Austin, Texas, USA, taking place from September 16 to October 10, 2027. The venue will also feature the Game Changers Championship finals build for the top-tier women’s esports tournament, accelerating global fandom accumulation.
