Former Samsung Electronics President and Harman Board Chairman Youngwon Choi has tied the knot with former supermodel and trend analyst Jaeyeon Kim, who is 25 years his junior.

According to the entertainment industry, Kim recently shared multiple wedding photos and announced her marriage to the 70-year-old executive. Kim expressed that although she had planned to live alone, she met her lifelong partner past her forties and decided to share her future with him.

The couple first met about two years ago as alumni at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Kim explained that they naturally got to know each other as senior and junior before confirming their feelings early this year, traveling between the US, South Korea, and Europe to understand and respect each other’s worlds.

Kim praised her husband, noting that beyond his significant social achievements as a former Samsung Electronics President and Chief Strategy Officer, he is a warm-hearted person who genuinely cherishes, respects, and cares for her.

Choi led Harman’s massive $8 billion acquisition in 2016 and currently serves as the Chairman of Samsung’s Semiconductor Advisory Committee, Harman International’s Board of Directors, and managing partner at Silicon Valley venture capital firm Walden Catalyst.

The private small wedding was held with only family members in attendance at the BΓΌrgenstock Resort near Lake Lucerne in Switzerland, famously known as the location where Audrey Hepburn married Mel Ferrer in 1954.

Born in 1981, Kim won first place in the 2003 SBS Super Model Contest. After working in the overseas fashion industry, she studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York and earned an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, currently working as a high-end business and marketing strategist.

Born in 1956, Choi majored in electrical engineering at the University of Pennsylvania and earned a master’s degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management, continuing an active career in the global semiconductor and tech investment sectors.
