BTS member V (Kim Tae-hyung) has publicly disclosed for the first time that he is undergoing medical treatment for hearing loss in his right ear, speaking candidly to fans during their ongoing world tour.
The revelation came during a joint Weverse Live broadcast on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, hosted by V and fellow bandmate Jungkook following their second performance at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore as part of the “Arirang” world tour.

During the live broadcast, V opened up about his two-and-a-half-year struggle with reduced hearing in his right ear, detailing his current hospital care routine:

├── V: Receiving medication and hospital treatment for 30% right ear hearing level
└── Jungkook: Managing severe shin inflammation and bone microdamage prior to stress fracture
Jungkook clarified that while his leg has not reached a full stress fracture, significant inflammation and microdamage to the bone have caused substantial pain during choreography routines:
“My shin is right at the point just before a stress fracture. Even today on stage my heart was set on running around, but it hurt too much at points and I couldn’t. I’ll be careful with myself so I can finish this tour properly.”
