Air Premia on-time performance Surpasses National Averages

Air Premia on-time performance reached an impressive 89.2% in the first half of 2026, significantly outperforming the South Korean national carrier average. According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s aviation service report, the airline’s punctuality climbed 3.6 percentage points higher than the 85.6% national average and jumped 5.9 percentage points from 83.3% in the latter half of the previous year.

Long-Haul Reliability and Maintenance Investments

The company attributes this steady improvement in on-time performance to aggressive investments in its fleet and maintenance capabilities. Since last year, Air Premia has expanded its aircraft fleet while securing spare engines, enhancing parts supply stability, upgrading maintenance systems, and strengthening flight schedule management. Because long-haul routes involve extended flight times and tight schedules, preventing downstream delays is critical. By securing spare parts and engines in advance, the airline has successfully mitigated potential flight disruptions.

Expanding Transpacific and Regional Transfer Traffic

Building on its operational stability, Air Premia is also scaling up transfer demand centered around South Korea’s Incheon International Airport. The carrier plans to connect its long-haul routes to the Americas with Chinese routes, attracting transit passengers traveling from major Chinese cities to the United States via Incheon. This expansion kicks off with flights to Ningbo, utilizing both the airline’s proprietary routes and interline partnerships to broaden transit choices for travelers heading to North America.
