Singer Shin Jang-mi is returning with a deepened emotional sensibility.
Shin Jang-mi will release her new digital single ‘Hahoe – Where Longing Dwells’ through various online music sites at 12 PM on the 17th.
Following her recognition with the EMN Promising Star Award in the adult contemporary category at the 33rd Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards, Shin Jang-mi recently made headlines during her appearance on KBS2’s ‘Immortal Songs’ with her unrivaled stage presence, drawing explosive reactions such as ‘microphone tremor’ and ‘rising in 0.1 seconds.’
The upcoming single ‘Hahoe’ captures a deeper and more mature sensibility that Shin Jang-mi has not shown before. It expresses the beautiful scenery of Hahoe Village, where the Nakdong River winds around the town, alongside the poignant love and longing sent down the river, through grand and lyrical sounds.
Along with this, Shin Jang-mi revealed her new profile photos. She radiated an elegant and sophisticated aura completely different from her previous image, raising anticipation for the musical transformation and striking concept she will display in her new single ‘Hahoe.’
An industry representative shared, “The mysterious Korean timbre of the daegeum combined with the expansive string sound delivers a deep lingering resonance like a traditional ink-and-wash painting.” They added, “Shin Jang-mi’s uniquely soulful vocals, which start with restrained emotion and build explosively toward the chorus, align perfectly with her dramatic image transformation.”
