Singer VIOLA, who gained attention from global music fans for participating in the OST of the hit Netflix series ‘Can This Love Be Translated?’, is returning with a new song filled with warm comfort and hope.
According to Studio MisoC, VIOLA will release her new digital single ‘Illusion: YELLOW LETTER’ today at noon through various online music sites.
This new song is the final track in VIOLA’s ‘Color Letter’ series, following ‘Departure: GREEN LETTER’ and ‘VIOLA’s DANCE: VIOLET LETTER’. It carries a message of hope that even if moments of getting lost and wandering arrive, our journey eventually connects somewhere, and even if we leave behind past people and dreams, we can meet again someday. It serves as a song of hope delivered to those who are wandering.
The sound also reinforces the message delivered by the song. Based on the characteristics of modern rock, a gradually escalating orchestral arrangement harmonizes to complete a rich musical progression. The delicately built-up melodies and dynamic orchestration add emotional depth as the song progresses, delivering a dramatic resonance.
VIOLA directly participated in the lyrics and composition of this song, showcasing her capabilities as a singer-songwriter. In addition, composer Oh Dong-joon, who worked on SEVENTEEN DK’s ‘Go’ from the drama ‘Twenty-Five Twenty-One’ and Suzy and So Soo-bin’s ‘A Night Full of You’ from ‘Everything Will Come True’, contributed to the composition and arrangement to enhance the quality. VIOLA’s musical color and composer Oh Dong-joon’s delicate production met to implement a deeper sound.
VIOLA is an artist recognized for her skills through winning the gold prize at the 30th Yoo Jae-ha Music Contest and appearing on Mnet’s ‘Folk Us’. As an all-rounder capable of digesting a wide range of genres from synth-pop to rock and folk, she has steadily expanded her own musical world since joining Studio MisoC, the label behind popular drama OSTs such as ‘Hospital Playlist’ Seasons 1 and 2, ‘Twenty-Five Twenty-One’, and ‘My Liberation Notes’.
In particular, she recently participated as the vocalist for the OST ‘Delight’ of the hit Netflix series ‘Can This Love Be Translated?’, drawing interest from domestic and global music fans alike. Even after the release of her new song, she will meet audiences through live performances. VIOLA is scheduled to appear at the ‘2026 Lalalaon’ performance organized by the Korea Music Label Industry Association held at Club Sharp in Mangwon-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on November 11 to vividly deliver the emotion of her new song through a live performance.
