Group ILLIT is receiving enthusiastic love calls in Japan once again as the year comes to a close.
Their agency, Belift Lab, announced on November 3 that ILLIT has been included in the first lineup for Fuji TV’s 2026 FNS Music Festival, which is scheduled to air on December 2.
With this announcement, ILLIT has officially secured a spot to perform at Japan’s representative year-end music festival for the third consecutive year. Launched in 1974, the FNS Music Festival is one of Japan’s most popular year-end music programs featuring artists who have made significant waves throughout the year.
Continued Success and Rising Popularity in Japan
ILLIT has been receiving love calls annually since 2024, even before their official debut in Japan, and previously appeared on the summer special broadcast this year. This milestone clearly demonstrates the group’s immense popularity within the Japanese market.
Earlier this year, ILLIT earned ‘Triple Platinum’ and ‘Platinum’ certifications from the Recording Industry Association of Japan for their debut song ‘Magnetic’ and their first Japanese original song ‘Almond Chocolate,’ respectively. Furthermore, the title track ‘It’s Me’ from their 4th mini album released in April is enjoying long-term success on the charts.
Upcoming Arena Tour Encore Performance
In addition to their television appearances, ILLIT successfully sold out all dates for their very first Japan tour, mobilizing around 60,000 spectators. The group is now gearing up to hold an encore concert this coming December at LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY in Chiba, Japan.
