BTS Jin recently surprised fans by sharing a fun outing with his labelmate, TXT member Beomgyu, at a MapleStory-themed escape room cafe. Known for his deep affection for the game, Jin delighted fans by posting a series of photos documenting their gaming adventure.
On November 5, Jin took to his personal social media to post three photos along with the witty caption, “Went to an escape room with Beomgyu (idol).” The playful addition of the word ‘idol’ right after the name of his direct junior from Big Hit Music brought smiles to many fans.
In the published photos, Jin and Beomgyu pose side-by-side in front of the MapleStory-themed escape room clearance screen. Jin sports a comfortable look with a white top and a dark jacket while flashing a V sign. Beomgyu, wearing a hoodie, also creates a V pose next to his face while looking toward the camera.
In the background behind the two stars, the playful toy-city atmosphere of the game and the theme name ‘The Chaotic Ludibrium’ are clearly visible. The screen displays their team name ‘Big Hit,’ along with their ranking and remaining time. Jin uploaded these certification snapshots a day after their visit on November 4.
Another photo captures Jin posing with one hand in his pocket near an outdoor space decorated with various MapleStory characters, surrounded by colorful lighting and large installations. He documented their entire escape room outing from the indoor clearance screens to the vibrant outdoor scenery.
Jin also shared a photo taken alongside MapleStory director Chang-seop Shin. He humorously labeled the person in the photo as ‘Game Director’ and covered his own ID with the word ‘Name,’ showcasing his trademark wit and playful charm.
Jin’s passion for MapleStory is well-known among fans. Back in 2022, he appeared in the official MapleStory web content ‘Employee Kim Seok-jin,’ where he officially went to work at Nexon. Transforming from a singer on stage into a game company intern, he shared his genuine experiences and thoughts as a dedicated user.
The ‘MapleStory Escape’ venue is an offline escape room cafe created through a collaboration between Nexon and Isang Creative. It brings in-game regions to life in an offline space, allowing visitors to directly experience puzzles and storylines.
