Group ENHYPEN member Jake has stepped away from his fatal vampire allure to showcase the fluttering excitement of youth.
On November 5, ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Ni-ki) released the ‘DAY & NIGHT’ version concept film for Jake from their upcoming spin-off single ‘THE SIN : PARALLEL WORLD’ through HYBE Labels’ official YouTube channel. The video captures the members of ENHYPEN living as ordinary humans in a parallel universe rather than vampires.
The video opens with Jake waking up in a sun-drenched morning and tidying up his blanket. He then meticulously checks his appearance in front of the mirror and immerses himself in practicing greetings, completely losing track of time. The excited anticipation ahead of meeting ‘you’ is palpable throughout the screen.
Jake realistically portrayed the fluttering heartbeats before a meeting with just delicate facial expressions and small gestures. In particular, his handwritten phrase "A greeting practiced many times," which appears at the end of the video, leaves a lingering impression. Viewers have responded that Jake’s clumsy yet warm sincerity reveals a youthful face that has never been seen before.
Previously, ENHYPEN sparked enthusiastic reactions by portraying the moments of anxiety they experienced as vampires and the new world they encountered upon waking from that dream through the ‘DREAM’ version. The upcoming ‘DAY & NIGHT’ version is drawing high expectations as it will unfold the daily lives of the members in the parallel world after waking up. Individual concept films will be released sequentially starting with Jake until the 10th.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN’s spin-off single ‘THE SIN : PARALLEL WORLD’ will be released simultaneously worldwide on November 20 at 2 PM. The title track ‘I Want You’ is a song that depicts the moment of recognizing each other through a sixth sense-like instinctive attraction and realizing it is fate, featuring world-class producer JULiA LEWiS to elevate its quality. The title track’s music video will be unveiled on the 13th at 11:59 PM, a week ahead of the release.
