Chloe Jeon (12th grader at Eleanor Roosevelt High School), a member of Boy Scouts Troop 1278 (Leader Emily Jeon), was promoted to Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Scouting, on the 25th of last month.

Eagle Scout is the highest rank achieved by only about 4% of all Scouts. Candidates must meet requirements including over six months of community service, leadership, and various outdoor training courses.

Jeon participated as a member of the Korean delegation to the 2023 Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree in South Korea. She also served as a member of the National Youth Advisory Board from 2024 to 2025.

Having started her Scouting journey in 2021, Jeon served as a patrol leader and senior patrol leader, and currently serves as an assistant scoutmaster guiding younger members. Meanwhile, Troop 1278 operates various programs and volunteer activities to help youth grow into leaders equipped with healthy values and a sense of community.
