In JTBC’s Saturday-Sunday drama Final Table, actor Ahn Hyo-seop transforms into a fierce tiger instructor to help Hong Hwa-yeon overcome her cooking phobia.
During the 6th episode of ‘Final Table’ (written and directed by Kim Do-hoon) airing today (8th), Kang Han (played by Ahn Hyo-seop) steps up for special training to assist Team Familia’s youngest member, Choi Song-yi (played by Hong Hwa-yeon). He conducts high-intensity training to help her conquer her severe cooking phobia and grow into a true chef.
Previously, Choi Song-yi intentionally avoided cooking because whenever she entered the kitchen, someone would inevitably get hurt. However, she gathered her courage and picked up a knife to meet the requirements for participating in a cooking survival show. Nevertheless, having started cooking only recently and still harboring lingering fears, she has mainly been assigned to washing dishes and doing chores in the kitchen.
As the survival rounds progress and mission difficulty increases, head chef Kang Han takes direct action for the youngest member’s transformation. He initiates rigorous hard training so she can overcome her fear of cooking and blossom into a full-fledged chef. In particular, unlike previous practices, this session requires starting over from scratch upon a single failure, combined with elevated difficulty levels, raising anticipation for their practical cooking sessions.
The released stills capture Kang Han’s serious expression as he sternly guides his pupil Choi Song-yi. In front of the two lie piles of eggshells and a disastrously ruined omelet, hinting at the history of their ongoing failures. Despite this, Choi Song-yi shows unwavering focus on cooking without a hint of exhaustion, displaying a firm determination not to back down from any failure.
Above all, this training is expected to reveal Choi Song-yi’s hidden talents, which had been overshadowed by her ‘cooking beginner’ label.
