Girl Scouts of the USA announced Tuesday that Girl Scout dog cookies will officially hit the market this coming January, marking the historic first time the iconic organization has crafted a treat specifically for pets.
Meet “Patch Pals”: The Ultimate Canine Treat
Developed in partnership with Barkβthe New York-based dog toy and treat innovator behind BarkBoxβthe new canine cookies are called Patch Pals. Featuring a mouthwatering blueberry muffin flavor, these treats were designed to let dog owners share the legendary cookie-buying tradition with their pups.
If you are looking to stock up, keep your walking shoes in the closet. Unlike traditional boxes sold at neighborhood booths, the Girl Scout dog cookies will be available exclusively online.
“Sparkables” Bring Allergy-Friendly Crunch for Humans
The 2026 cookie lineup isn’t just expanding for petsβit’s getting far more inclusive for human snackers, too. Girl Scouts are also debuting Sparkables, the organizationβs first allergy-friendly cookie.
Created alongside New Jersey-based Partake Foods, Sparkables are crunchy oatmeal cookies loaded with chocolate chips and colorful sprinkles. To keep every snacker safe, they are baked in a specialized facility free from nine major allergens:

A 100-Year Tradition Gets an Inclusive Upgrade
The new additions were inspired by young scouts who wanted to ensure that no oneβhuman or petβgets left out of the cookie fun. Girl Scouts have been selling treats as troop fundraisers since 1917, growing the operation into an annual juggernaut that sells roughly 200 million boxes per year.
