The Hello Kitty library card featuring a special limited-edition design that went viral last month is making a return to LA County libraries.

The LA County Library announced that the special edition cards, which show Hello Kitty and her friends reading books together, will be reissued in limited quantities starting on the 17th. Additional supplies are scheduled to be distributed again on November 10.

The cards were first introduced in September to celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month. Afterward, they became a massive hit on social media, leading to long lines of eager residents waiting outside library branches to secure one.

Library officials stated that once branch-specific supplies run out, an announcement will be posted on the respective branch’s webpage. However, due to fluctuating inventory and a high volume of inquiries, staff will not be able to confirm card availability over the phone.

The cards are available to any California resident. Applicants must fill out a library card application form and present a valid photo ID. Minors can have their parents assist them in filling out the free application form.
