Boy group IDID won the Best Dance Performance trophy at the ‘2026 Korea Grand Music Awards’ (KGMA), enjoying the joy of winning for the second consecutive year.
IDID (Jang Yong-hoon, Kim Min-jae, Park Won-bin, Choo Yu-chan, Park Seong-hyeon, Baek Jun-hyuk, Jeong Se-min) was called as the winner in the Best Dance Performance category at the ‘2026 Korea Grand Music Awards’ held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 7th.
Having debuted last year, IDID won their first rookie award, the IS Rising Star, at the ‘2025 KGMA’, and added another trophy this year, setting a meaningful record of winning for two consecutive years.
Immediately after receiving the award, leader Jang Yong-hoon expressed his gratitude, saying, “It is an honor just to be able to participate in the ‘2026 KGMA’, a meaningful event where we become one through music, and thank you so much for giving us such a meaningful award.” He added, “I think we were able to receive this award thanks to ‘WeDid’, who always support us so we can shine on stage,” expressing his gratitude to the fans.
Kim Min-jae also conveyed his gratitude to the IDID members, Starship Entertainment family, and staff. He expressed his determination, saying, “We will continue to work harder as IDID,” while also asking fans to fully enjoy the performance prepared for the day, raising expectations.
IDID also showcased their presence on the awards ceremony stage following their win. First, they took the stage with ‘FLY!’, newly arranged for the ‘2026 KGMA’, filling the Gocheok Sky Dome with enthusiastic cheers. Creating a rough yet sophisticated atmosphere with black-and-white outfits, they captured attention with sensory performances, including freestyle dances by the members during the dance break section.
In the subsequent cover stage of NCT 127’s ‘Cherry Bomb’, they showed a 100% different charm from the previous stage. Completing a stylish visual with red-toned tops and bottoms featuring name initial points, IDID presented powerful choreography, precise knife-like synchronization, and energetic live performance, adding a different color from the original song. They simultaneously displayed rough charisma and sophisticated stage manners, fully exerting their performance strengths.
IDID debuted in the music industry in September of last year with their first mini-album ‘I did it.’. They quickly imprinted their presence by winning first place on a music broadcast just 12 days after their debut, and have since expanded their active areas through a total of three albums, including their first digital single ‘PUSH BACK’ and single album ‘FLY!’. They are solidifying their position as next-generation rookies by winning consecutive awards at global K-pop awards ceremonies.
Meanwhile, IDID, who won the Best Dance Performance award at the ‘2026 KGMA’, will also appear at the ‘2026 Melon Music Awards (MMA 2026)’ held on the 14th, and the ‘Asia Artist Awards (AAA 2026)’ held at the Kaohsiung National Stadium in Taiwan on December 5th and 6th.
