Singer Jeon Somi recently shared a hilarious anecdote about her experience joining a group-purchase open chatroom.
On October 19, a video titled ‘Honestly, have we gotten too close…?’ was uploaded to Jeon Somi’s official YouTube channel. In the video, Jeon Somi revealed that she accidentally ended up joining an open chatroom meant for group purchases while browsing social media.
She expressed her astonishment, sharing that the room consisted of about 2,000 mothers and was so active that 300 messages would pile up in just 30 minutes.
Jeon Somi explained that she participated in the chatroom using an emotional nickname and noted that product configurations and purchase links were revealed to members in advance.
She proudly shared, "I kept items in my shopping cart beforehand and managed to check out as soon as sales started the next day. Fortunately, my fingers were fast enough to buy everything."
She added with a laugh, "I got scolded after asking a question in the chatroom. They told me that once you read the announcements, you shouldn’t be asking such questions. But there are 20 different announcements. They told me that just like reading a book reveals new details every time you go through it, you have to read the notices multiple times."
