Global girl group Katseye Lollapalooza India 2027 is set to make a groundbreaking appearance as a main headliner for ‘Lollapalooza India 2027’. This marks their very first performance in India, raising their status as a marquee act at a world-class music festival and accelerating their global expansion.

According to their agency, HYBE-Geffen Records, Katseye will take the stage at the Mahalaxmi Race Course in Mumbai, India, on January 24 next year, marking the grand finale of the two-day festival which runs from January 23 to 24.

Katseye Joins World-Class Lineup of Headliners

Katseye stands proudly alongside legendary pop stars and international acts such as Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Olivia Dean, iconic American rock band Limp Bizkit, and Ireland’s premier band Fontaines D.C. This achievement clearly demonstrates the group’s soaring status in the global music market.

Lollapalooza, launched in the United States in 1991, has since expanded to South America, Europe, and Asia as a massive global music festival. Entering India in 2023 as the first Asian host country, the upcoming event marks its fifth anniversary with over 40 acts performing across four large-scale stages.

Expanding Global Footprint into the Indian Subcontinent

Above all, Lollapalooza India 2027 is expected to be a profoundly meaningful milestone for Katseye. It serves as a monumental opportunity to expand their massive North American and European fandom into the Indian market, home to approximately 1.4 billion people. Furthermore, the performance holds deep emotional significance for Indian-American member Lara, as she returns to perform in her ancestral homeland.

Meanwhile, Katseye continues to make waves globally following the release of their third EP ‘WILD’ in August. The album debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 main album chart and secured the No. 39 spot on the latest chart, achieving an impressive 10 consecutive weeks on the chart.

Sustained Global Chart Success and Future Outlook

The pre-release title track ‘Animal’ also spent 13 consecutive weeks on the ‘Hot 100’ at No. 30, while hitting No. 8 on the ‘Pop Airplay’ chart—a testament to their growing US radio power and a new personal best. Additionally, they placed three separate albums simultaneously on the ‘Top Album Sales’ chart, including ‘WILD’ at No. 13, ‘SIS (Soft Is Strong)’ at No. 24, and ‘BEAUTIFUL CHAOS’ at No. 42, displaying immense album sales firepower.

Katseye is a global group formed through a collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records under HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk’s core vision of a ‘Multi-home, multi-genre’ strategy.
