In a thrilling matchup at the League of Legends Worlds, T1 overpowered Karmine Corp (KC) in Game 2 of the quarterfinals, securing a commanding 2-0 match point. Despite KC’s aggressive draft strategy that banned five jungle champions to disrupt T1, Moon ‘Ouner’ Hyeon-jun’s clever plays and Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok’s veteran expertise paved the way for a decisive victory.
The match took place on November 7 during the knockout stage of the 2026 LoL World Championship. T1 triumphed in 29 minutes and 42 seconds with a final kill score of 20-9, putting them just one step away from the semifinals.
KC chose the blue side and attempted a surprise draft by banning five junglers: Viego, Qiyana, Nocturne, Xin Zhao, and Wukong. In response, T1 drafted Cassiopeia, Olaf, Nautilus, Kaisa, and Trundle, while KC locked in Orianna, Pantheon, Ambessa, Rell, and Tristana.
The turning point arrived early during the skirmish for the first scuttle crab around the 3-minute mark. ‘Ouner’ Moon Hyeon-jun used Trundle’s pillar to successfully block the enemy’s retreat, allowing T1 to secure three quick kills and take control of the tempo.
This early advantage snowballed rapidly. Picking up a double kill in the opening skirmish, ‘Faker’ Lee Sang-hyeok’s Cassiopeia racked up four kills before the 10-minute mark, completely neutralizing KC’s unique draft strategy. T1 expanded their global gold lead to over 3,000 and claimed two consecutive dragons on their way to a dominant performance.
Even as KC attempted to mount a comeback by pressuring the top lane tier-1 tower, T1 cleanly repelled the assault. T1 pushed down the enemy tower, widened the kill score to 12-4, and stretched their gold advantage past 5,000.
Holding total control over objectives and gold, T1 maintained relentless pressure throughout the map. Closing out the game at 29 minutes and 42 seconds with a 20-9 kill score, T1 now stands firmly on the brink of a semifinal berth.
