Park Na-rae Resolves Legal Paperwork Amid One-Person Agency Registration Dispute
Popular Korean comedian and television personality Park Na-rae is currently taking steps to finalize the official registration of her independent management label. This comes following recent updates regarding her one-person agency’s legal status under the Popular Culture and Arts Industry Development Act.
On July 14, a representative from her team released an official statement confirming the current situation. “It is true that Park Na-rae’s one-person agency is currently unregistered,” the representative explained. “We are actively in the process of finalizing the legal registration steps at this moment.”
The Reason Behind the Administrative Delay
To clarify the situation to fans and the public, her team provided additional context regarding why the registration had been delayed. According to her representatives, the agency previously had two former managers listed as registered directors on the corporate registry.
Under current regulations, registering a cultural arts planning business requires the formal consent and specific documentation from all listed registered directors. However, due to external circumstances, obtaining these documents from the former management staff was not possible at the time.
“The legal procedures to remove the former managers as registered directors have now been successfully completed,” the representative added. “We have appointed a new registered director who is currently completing the required regulatory training. We are now in the final stages of the official registration.”
Understanding the Legal Context
Earlier this month, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station wrapped up its initial review of the case concerning the administrative delay under the Popular Culture and Arts Industry Development Act and forwarded the matter to the prosecution.
According to current regulations, individuals operating entertainment agencies or management businesses must officially register with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to ensure compliance with local industry standards. Park Na-rae’s team is working swiftly to ensure all paperwork is fully compliant to resolve the administrative oversight.
