After more than 40 years of immigration life, author Paul Han has published an essay collection titled ‘To You Who Survived in a Strange Land – Tae-jun Kang’s Voice Essay Collection’ as both an e-book and an audiobook.

The book contains stories dealing with the loneliness of immigrants, responsibility for family, longing for hometown, the time of aging together as a couple, and farewells with loved ones. It looks back on the time passed by immigrants who built lives in an unfamiliar land and postponed their dreams for their families.

Author Han wrote this essay collection based on his experience of over 40 years of immigration life and international business fields. He focused on the emotions and meaning of life felt in the long immigration life rather than success or career.

He stated, ‘This book is not a book telling you to achieve something, but a write-up to tell you that just having lived up to this point is meaningful enough.’

The audiobook was directly narrated by the author. Instead of flashy direction, it delivers the emotions and breath of the work in a way that quietly tells stories to the reader.

Author Han previously published the full-length novel ‘The Man Who Defeated the Wind: Tae-jun Kang’s Road,’ which depicts success, failure, responsibility for family, and the process of a comeback against the backdrop of immigrant life and corporate society.

This essay collection is currently available for purchase as an e-book and audiobook on Google Play Books and Apple Books.
