Group RIIZE is making an emotional return with their new single ‘Insomnia’.
According to SM Entertainment, RIIZE will release the digital single ‘Insomnia’ on major domestic and international music sites at midnight on October 26, alongside the simultaneous release of the music video on the official YouTube SMTOWN channel.
The new song ‘Insomnia’ is an acoustic pop genre that RIIZE is trying for the first time. Eschewing the hip choreography that is the team’s signature, the track allows fans to fully appreciate the six members’ attractive vocals, raising anticipation among global music fans.
Featuring a quiet yet lonely melody combined with understated and sorrowful vocals, the song captures the mood of hours when sleep does not easily come. Lyricist Kim Eana penned the lyrics, calmly capturing the thoughts of someone becoming clearer as the night deepens and the complex emotional lines that follow.
Having swept the hot summer with their 2nd mini-album title track ‘Do your dance’ in June, which recorded their 4th million-selling status upon release, RIIZE is expected to showcase differentiated charm suited for the chilly season with this new release.
