SHINee Minho has proven his reputation as the ultimate ‘passion man’ in the entertainment industry by finishing in 3rd place at a challenging triathlon competition.

On the 26th, Minho shared photos and race records on his personal social media from his participation in the ‘2026 World Triathlon Cup Tongyeong.’ In the released photos, he is smiling brightly while wearing a pink race suit and proudly wearing a finisher’s medal around his neck. He also shared a photo on the podium holding his medal, adding the caption ‘Miracle 3rd place.’

His actual race records were remarkable. Minho completed the entire course in 2 hours, 27 minutes, and 14 seconds, which included 26 minutes and 39 seconds for swimming, 1 hour, 14 minutes, and 55 seconds for cycling, and 40 minutes and 52 seconds for running, along with transition times. Notably, he successfully secured 3rishna 3rd place in the men’s 35-39 age group.

Minho expressed his thoughts, saying, ‘The Tongyeong Triathlon has ended. Once again, thank you to everyone who cheered me on along the course! Our Shawols who came from far away are the best. A sweet finish achieved through hard work.’

He also shared heartfelt gratitude toward his coach who guided him. Minho wrote, ‘My best coach. Whenever I wanted to quit and felt weak every day, you were right there to hold me up. You are a wonderful coach who teaches me so much in life. You trained your lacking disciple wonderfully. Thank you sincerely, and I dedicate all glory to my coach.’

This achievement draws more attention because Minho has consistently shown extraordinary passion for sports through various broadcast appearances. Known for his fiery passion on stage, Minho has now achieved a remarkable milestone in triathlon.

Appearing on a KBS2 variety show last September, Minho surprised viewers by revealing, ‘I still continue to participate in competitions. I’ve run marathons and even won 1st place in a Hyrox competition.’ Jun Hyun-moo previously exposed his dedication, saying, ‘Minho is so serious about sports that if you ask him, ‘Would you rather win 1st place on Music Bank or 1st place in Hyrox?’, he actually hesitates.’ To this, Minho answered honestly, ‘Of course it’s great for ‘Make It Hot’ to win 1st place, but deep down, getting 1st place in Hyrox feels more rewarding,’ bringing laughter to the viewers.

He has also previously shared an anecdote about winning the왕쀑왕전 (Wangjungwangjeon) on KBS2’s ‘Let’s Go! Dream Team’ in the past and receiving a car as a prize. Minho’s passion, which balances idol activities and athletic endeavors while consistently building achievements, truly shined in this triathlon as well. As he navigates life as a stage performer while proving his skills in various sports competitions, Minho continues to leave remarkable records through endless challenges, living up to the phrase ‘a sports talent that the music industry stole.’
